10 years of BENU pharmacies: a story of success
At the end of July 2012, it finally happened: 77 pharmacies in French-speaking Switzerland, which have been operating under the brand name Capitole for the past 30 years, were transformed into BENU. In doing so, the pharmacy chain signalled its affiliation with the PHOENIX group, all of whose European pharmacies also operate under this brand. The introduction of the new brand name to the Swiss market was preceded by two years of intensive branding and marketing work.

All of which has been a success, because BENU pharmacies can now be found in over 92 locations across Switzerland. They are staffed by over 900 employees and 150 apprentices who provide customers with professional advice on all aspects of health and well-being, and serve them with medicines, parapharmaceuticals, medical technology products and cosmetic products from exclusive brands. Customers across Switzerland can also order about 15,000 different parapharmacy products, perfumes, care products and dietary supplements online via BENU.ch.
In the future, BENU will be further strengthening its presence on various sales channels with the aim of becoming a significant omnichannel provider for its growing clientèle.
We are pleased to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of BENU together. This anniversary impressively demonstrates the attractiveness of this pharmacy network and its business model, of which we are very proud. We are looking forward to seeing the chain continue its success in the future.
